Important Information About Software Licensing:
Intuit and Sage: As of 2023, Intuit no longer offers perpetual licenses for their software. Sage 50 will follow suit in 2024. This means you'll need to subscribe to use their software in the future.
Renewal and Updates: Current perpetual licenses often require yearly renewals for maintenance and support. Additionally, updates may be released biannually or more frequently.
Accounting Needs: Many of our clients primarily focus on standard accounting tasks and might not require payroll features. Upgrading your accounting software in this case might not be necessary.
Update Risks: Because bookkeeping and accounting practices requires stability, unplanned software updates can disrupt your system's smooth operation. We generally recommend staying with your current version unless there's a clear need for the new features.
Downgrade Assistance: If you've already upgraded and prefer to avoid a subscription model, we can help. We've partnered with accounting experts to assist with downgrading to the most recent perpetual version before vendor updates become mandatory.
